My Journey
For six years, I worked as an exercise physiologist and health educator for the Rockwell Collins Recreation Center, a corporate fitness facility that caters to the diverse needs of over 6,000 employees and their family members. Within this dynamic environment,
I delivered engaging health presentations, conducted comprehensive fitness assessments, devised tailored exercise programs, offered one-on-one training sessions, and led a variety of group exercise classes, including fitness yoga, Pilates, boot camp, and HIIT sessions. Additionally, I took on the role of retiree/SilverSneakers® Event Coordinator, diligently organizing social events and exercise classes for this valued demographic.
In 2011, I embarked on a new adventure to New York City to pursue a master's degree in exercise physiology and sports nutrition. Concurrently, I served as a health educator and group exercise instructor for the nonprofit organization Start Your Engine. This comprehensive six-month program empowered participants with effective strategies for leading long, healthy lives through a balanced approach to exercise, nutrition, time management, and stress management.
At present, I operate my own venture, New Perspective Fitness, where I offer customized online training sessions. Catering primarily to clients aged 55 and above, I am dedicated to providing tailored fitness solutions that accommodate their unique needs and goals. Designing exercise programs that enable individuals to age gracefully is a fundamental aspect of my holistic approach to fitness. I firmly believe that fostering a healthy and active lifestyle can be a transformative experience at any stage of life. With a keen understanding of the unique needs and aspirations of each client, I meticulously craft personalized exercise regimens that consider any physical limitations and align with their specific fitness goals. By incorporating functional movements, strength training, flexibility exercises, and balance training, I ensure that my tailored programs not only enhance the client's physical well-being but also contribute to their cognitive health, emotional resilience, and overall quality of life.
My ultimate aim is to empower individuals to embrace their golden years with confidence, vitality, and a renewed zest for life.
